Dan Forest to Hold Convention of States (Article V) Townhall Events

RALEIGH—Lt. Governor Dan Forest will be joined by constitutional scholar Michael Farris at two upcoming townhall style events to discuss the many arguments for and against the Convention of States Project.

Michael Farris is the Chancellor of Patrick Henry College and Chairman of the Home School Legal Defense Association. He was the founding president of each organization. Farris is a constitutional appellate litigator who has served as lead counsel in arguments before the United States Supreme Court, eight federal circuit courts, and the appellate courts of 13 states. He has been a leader on Capitol Hill for over 30 years and is widely known for his leadership on homeschooling, religious freedom, and the preservation of American sovereignty.

In typical townhall style, questions from the attending public will be permitted in an organized and civil format. Two townhall style discussions are scheduled.

Lt. Governor Forest organized these events as a public service for the people of North Carolina. “Michael Farris is an esteemed constitutional expert. The two upcoming townhall style discussions will be an excellent opportunity to raise questions, address concerns and confusion, and allow for the expression of individual opinions surrounding the Convention of States Project,” said Forest.
